City Centre

Shopping in Sydney's city centre can't be done without making a beeling for the luxe labels on Elizabeth, Castlereagh, and King Streets. The other key drawcard of course is Pitt Street Mall, Sydney's busiest shopping strip, home to department stores like Myer and David Jones, the high-end stores of Westfield Sydney and The Glasshouse.

Ladies who lunch know that they will always find what they need in one of Sydney’s most refined suburbs. Mosman has plenty for both the young and more mature shopper, from fashion and homewares, to accessories and antiques. Neutral Bay caters for a younger crowd.

Dinosaur Designs

More like an art gallery than a shop, lining the walls of this creative design shop is an endless display of hand-crafted resin jewellery and homewares in vibrant colours. No two pieces are the same, so you can be assured of owning an original piece.

Red Eye Records

This old-school record shop in York Street stocks a massive selection of new releases and imports in a wide variety of genres, both new and second hand. One for collectors, and if you can’t find what you want here, they’ll search the world for you.

Gleebooks

Gleebooks has been a favourite of Sydney’s literati for over 30 years. Its range of fiction and non-fiction is unbelievably vast, and the store regularly hosts talks by local and international authors and other literary events. Its second-hand store is further along Glebe Point Road.

The Rocks Market

Every weekend, those in the know head to The Rocks Market and wander amongst the 200 or so stalls selling everything from antiques, art, fashion and souvenirs to indigenous arts and crafts. On Friday’s there’s the Foodies Market, where the tasty homemade goods are irresistible.

Peter’s of Kensington

Sydneysiders have been frequenting this famous pink building on Anzac Parade for decades. It’s the place to go for homewares, kitchen and cookware, as well as toys, bedding, and cosmetics, all at reasonable prices. You’re sure to find something special you didn’t know you needed.
